Branding your company with a business page on Facebook is important.  There are many opportunities for a business to market themselves on Facebook, but a regular profile page (the ones you and I have) are really not the best way to go for a business.

In addition to managing friend requests, event invitations, comments, and notes in your inbox – you need to know what your page looks like to others.

I went to a business page the other day and what I saw was posts from their friends.   It’s important to expand the brand of your company, but only in a way that is professional.  You can start  creating your own fan page here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php Be sure to name your fan page the same as your business and this will help your friends find you.    Next:  What if you already have a profile page or group page?
