I opened the morning paper and saw a full color page advertisement on the back page of the front page section. Sitting there taking up valuable real estate on the page and at a premium price, is a BANK ORDERED COASTAL WATERFRONT LIQUIDATION SALE . Ok, bait me – where is it? The east coast is sort of a large swath of land. I can get ocean access with a free boat slip for only $34,900 .. ok if this is for one day only why is the price firm? There is no website to look at and only a number with an extension. The extension tells me this is some huge conglomerate and I really don’t want to go on a cruise, or take a tour of something to get a good deal on some land I have no idea where it’s located or even in what state. I wonder what the success rate of phone calls is? For me, a website would help answer all my questions and validate who is really selling the property and give me a map for directions. Maybe the website would offer an email address for questions. This advertisement could have improved with a well thought out marketing plan.
